The machinery was manufactured by Automation Tool Company, with the exception of the Centurion bending machines and Extrema undercut saw.
The line was used to produce entry doors and door frames for recreational vehicles. The machinery can be used for, or is adaptable to a variety of products, and not limited to doors and windows. The machines were used for bending, cutting, routing, and punching a variety of aluminum extrusions and door slabs. The line was installed in 2011. Machinery has been disconnected and is being stored by the new building owner.
MACHINERY LISTING
(2) Centurion MDL 26000 Twin Head Benders for Aluminum Extrusions
These standard machines were tooled to bend aluminum extrusion door frames, with features such as:
Horizontal Heads
Specialized Stretching
Split-Actuation
Stretch Limiting
Unloader
The machines may be re-tooled for bending other products. See Video #7 on our website.
CNC Hinge Notching Router
This machine was used to cut hinge openings in door frames. The machine will process multiple pieces at one time. See Video #4 on our website.
Automatic PLC-Controlled Notching & Drill Machine
This machine drilled holes into, and routed notches in the inner door frame. See Video #11 on our website.
CNC Table Router
This unit was used to router radii of the door slab, router the window opening and door latch opening. See Video #14 on our website.
CNC Vertical Router
This unit provided three-axis movement of a cutter used to notch up to three parts at a time. An automatic clamping system holds the parts in place while they are being machined. See Video #13 on our website.
PLC-Controlled Frame Drill
Outer door frame is inserted into the machine prior to the bending process. From there, an automatic indexing clamp moves the part through the machine, as holes are drilled in precise locations. See Video #2 on our website.
Double Miter Saw
This machine was used to miter the bottom ends of the “U”-shaped door frame. See Video #8 on our website.
Double end Cutoff Saw
This station cut the ends of the door frame, so each side was equal length. In the bending process, the legs weren’t always the same length. See Video #5 on our website.
Frame Punch-Out
This first-stage process punched out the opening for the door lock. See Video #1 on our website.
Outer Frame Notch & Hole Punch
This station was setup to punch notches and holes after frames were bent, ensuring proper placement. See Video #3 on our website.
Twin Hole Punch
This is another single-purpose machine which punched holes in the lower door frame. See Video #6 on our website.
Two-Stage Punch
This station punched both a rectangular opening, and two round holes, in two steps. See Video #9 on our website.
Drill Station
This station was used to drill holes into the sides of the inner door frames. See Video #10 on our website.
Extrema Undercut Saw
The Extrema is a standard factory-produced machine used as a cut-to-length saw. The blade is pedal-operated. See Video #12 on our website.
Hinge Punch
Punches holes in the hinge to match the frame. See Video #15 on our website.
Threshold Hole Punch
Punches holes in the threshold. See Video #16 on our website.
